Salah Bar is a macOS menu bar app that shows daily prayer times. It does not collect personal data, has no accounts, and contains no analytics or advertising SDKs.

Location

If you choose "Use My Location", your location is used only to find the nearest Diyanet location. The coordinate is rounded to roughly 1 km precision and sent to the prayer-time server (admin.awqatsalah.com, data of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Türkiye), which returns the yearly times for the nearest city or district. If you type a city name instead, the name is geocoded by Apple's geocoder service. Location data is never sent to the developer.

Data stored on your device

The selected location, city name, calculation method and the downloaded timetable are stored only on your Mac, inside the app's sandbox container. Deleting the app removes them.

Third parties

The app connects only to the prayer-time server above and to Apple's location and geocoder services. No data is sold, shared or used for tracking.
